Famous collector. Worked in the studio "Georgia-film". Was a consulter of Konstantin Pipinashvili film "Cradle of Poet" (1947). He was collecting old photos with a particular passion, was studing them, identifying depicted people and writing his comments on the backside of the photos.

Collection of Papuna Tsereteli is kept in the Georgian Institute of Manuscripts.
