Barbara Dadiani

1903-1999

In the family albums of Nicolaus Dadiani number of photos were kept. From 1921 his daughter was authorized to guard family relics. She migrated to Paris after the Georgia got a Soviet Republic. Later, she returned to Tbilisi with her husband Aleksy Maskharashvili. He was a subject to repression and Barbara Dadiani was exiled to Central Asia. With enormous effort she managed to number of photos and take back to Georgia.Totalitarian system was demolished: that state didn't exist any more: unfortunately Barbara Dadiani is not among us: all we have are photos and the faces depicted on them still affect spectators.

Barbara Dadiani held exhibitions in Tbilisi and Paris, which was greatly appraised by public.
